Homeowners undertaking energy-efficient retrofits can still apply for an interest-free Greener Homes Loan of up to $40,000 from the Canada Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC).

Eligible applicants can receive $5,000-$40,000, interest-free for 10 years. The Loan is conditional on performing an EnerGuide home evaluation with a NRCan approved energy advisor.
