The 70,000 trees planted by Nordik will cover an area equivalent to 98 football fields.
The CO2 sequestered by these trees over their lifetime is equivalent to the emissions from a substantial number of window installations (exact number to be determined).
The amount of CO2 absorbed by these trees over their lifetime is comparable to the annual carbon emissions of 1,971 Canadians, highlighting the significant contribution our partnership with Flash Forest makes to environmental sustainability.
Beyond the numbers, our partnership with fellow Canadian company Flash Forest will help restore ecosystems outside our window. Our project will be taking place in Assinica, Québec, an area where severe wildfires impacted the once-lush boreal ecosystems and also the adjacent Oujé-Bougoumou Cree Nation.
